JBS Motorsports Drivers Seafuse, Gue Look for Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series GS Point Lead at New Jersey

Only 10 points separate top four drivers in GS, and seven separate top four in ST

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.  - The closer competitors come to the end of the 2008 Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series season, the closer Bret Seafuse and James Gue have been getting to the series championship point lead. With two second-place finishes in their last three races, Seafuse and Gue have closed the sizable advantage held by leaders and defending champions Jep Thornton and Jeff Segal to 10 points (190-180). Their next chance to close in begins at 8:53 a.m. Sunday at Thunderbolt Raceway at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, N.J., with a 250-mile (112-lap) or two-and-a-half hour race.

After taking a short break to wait out the worst of the Summer heat we are gearing up for cooler weather and or next track day on September 25th at Willow Spring’s “Big Track”.

Price is $320 for the day. However, if you sign up before September 4th you can save $40 which brings the price down to $280. “Why the discount?” you ask. By drivers showing support in a timely fashion it helps us plan and be prepared for the size of group we anticipate thereby making your experience better. Also we go under contract with the track in advance which places us at financial risk. So we want to reward those who sign up 3 weeks or more in advance.

Over the past two races, the duo of Jack Roush Jr. and Dean Martin have been riding a hot streak with a pair of Top-10 finishes and climbing from 16th to seventh in the Grand-Am KONI Challenge points championship. Heading into Quebec for the Grand Prix de Trois Rivieres, and the very tight 1.520-mile street course, they knew that it would be a tough challenge to keep the streak alive.
