The 45th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang will be celebrated at Barber Motorsports Park in April of 2009, but Mustang fans got a sneak peak at a display of pony passion on Sunday with round four of the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge for the Miller Cup. Terry Borcheller won the 45-minute race ahead of StableOne Racing teammate and Mustang Challenge Championship points leader Andrew Caddell as Carlo Sparacio rounded out the podium with his best result of the season to take third.

Maxwell, Foster Take Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series Victory at Barber Motorsports Park

Scott Maxwell passed James Gue on Lap 86 of the 89-lap Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series Grand Sport (GS) race Saturday at Barber Motorsports Park, and cruised to a 20.530-second victory on the 2.3-mile track for a podium sweep for the Ford Mustangs. The victory also came in fuel conservation mode, as Maxwell and co-driver Joe Foster had about a lap-and-a-half left of fuel in the tank of the No. 55 Hyper Sport Ford Mustang GT in the caution-free race.
